Class Styles & Descriptions

We have classes for everyone. Yup, everyone. Just pick your level!

Class Levels

Level 1

We all are “newbies” at one point. It’s ok, relax. Level 1 classes are taken at a slower pace; suitable for individuals new to yoga and looking to learn correct alignment, basic yoga postures, and breathing techniques.

Level 2

Less talking, more doing.  Individuals should understand the basic yoga postures and be open to poses that require more strength. Expect less detailed instructions and a bit more sweat than level 1 classes.

Level 3

Feeling rebellious are we? Perfect. Level 3 classes are designed for individuals looking for more advanced poses requiring strength, stamina and flexibility. You won’t walk out of these classes dry.

Classes

Booty Buster Yoga (Level 3)

Looking for a harder toushie? This class is loaded with squats, lunges, warrior poses, and strong leg lifts. Did we mention there will be squats? Good, because you should be prepared to feel the burn, not be the burn.

HIP HOP Yoga (All levels welcome)

This is an entire vinyasa flow class done listening to the hottest musical hits from the HIP HOP. Oh, did we mention neon coloured clothes are a must?

Candlelight Yin Yoga (Level 1)

Interested in holding a stretch for at least 3 minutes? Yeah, it didn’t appeal to use either at first. BUT, this deep, restorative approach to the yoga practice holds the key to your connective muscle tissue. If flexibility is your goal, then this practice for you.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha flow is designed to align the muscles and bones and open the energy channels of the body. Once energy can flow in a free manner, the focus of hatha yoga then transitions to the breathe and calming the mind. This type of yoga is a little bit less heart pumping that Vinyasa flow, but not as chilled as Yin Yoga.

Barre class

A pinch of Pilates, a dash of Yoga and a whole lot of Ballet inspired moves is exactly what’s going to get you sweating during our Barre classes! Beginner, intermediate and advanced Barre lovers are welcome to tone specific muscle groups (arms, core, legs and butt baby!!) while listening to some toe-tapping music. Ladies and gents, be prepared to feel the burn!

Vinyasa

For your inner athlete. Vinyasa Flow classes have a dynamic and sweaty flow, moving from posture to posture. This type of yoga strengthens the muscles through challenging positions.

Meditation Therapy

Meditation therapy is a technique to look within to increase the conscious state. This beautiful practice rejuvenates the body and mind and enables practitioners to pull away from distractions, unwanted worries, anxieties and increases the inner strength. Join us for a meditative Friday morning under the wings of Piloga! Relax to the healing sounds of Tibetan singing bowels and guided meditation. This, is the luxury of being your authentic self.

Yoga for Back & Hip Dysfunction

A specialty class aimed to release tight spaces in the body, mobilize muscles and relieve pain. Combining the benefit of yoga, breath-work with roller balls for more focused and controlled release by improving circulation, alleviate pain by lowering muscle tension and restores tissue function even post-injuries.

Roll N’ Release

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE SPECIALTY CLASSES
Adding deep tissue release to your sore & tired muscles, our MFR release specialty class delves into specific areas every week to reach the deep fascial planes in your body. This practice adds a new dimension to your practice giving you the benefit of yoga asanas and the fascial release through Rad Rounds therapy balls leaving you with the sense of balance, lightness and length. Appropriate for newer students, those who need options to modify their practice, as well as longtime students who enjoy a methodical, balanced practice designed to offer access to deeper fascial planes that regular asana does not address. This class also offers relief from trigger points for specific target areas as we look into specific dysfunctions.

Pre-Natal Yoga

The baby will have enough attention when it’s born. It’s mom’s time to shine. These classes prepare the body for birth. It’s all about the pelvic floor muscles baby! Squeeze and tuck.  Squeeze and tuck. Squeeze and tuck.

Chi Yoga

Is a gentle form of exercise that helps improve health and overall well-being. Qi Gong (pronounced CHEE-GONG) can be traced back 4,000 years to ancient China. “Qi” is simply the Chinese word for energy, and “Gong” means skill that is cultivated through steady practice. So, put together, “Qi Gong” means “cultivating the body’s vital energy,” and then using it to heal and strengthen every system throughout the body.

Private or Semi-Private Sessions

We’ll be honest with you. Private sessions are the bomb diggity. They give you the knowledge needed to have a safe and impactful practice. This will be the best investment you will make for a long time (until you buy your next IPhone).
